Skipping the pressure of dancing alongside nimble youngsters is a massive relief for anyone starting their movement journey later in life. 6th Position is an adult-centric studio that focuses entirely on dancers aged sixteen and up.
The entire community focuses heavily on creating an inclusive and supportive space for the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex, and asexual (LGBTQIA+) community.
When I tried one of their specialized foundations classes last month, the welcoming atmosphere instantly melted away my coordination anxieties. Plus, I love that they provide a highly flexible drop-in setup that fits hectic schedules perfectly.
However, they enforce strict minimum headcount requirements, meaning a session might get canceled if fewer than four people enroll.
On top of that, there are no free single trials available, so you have to purchase a multi-week pass or pay the full drop-in rate to test the waters.
