5 Best Laundry Services in New South Wales for Fresher Clothes

Service Range: I checked for wash-and-fold, dry cleaning, and commercial laundry services. The more chores they can take off my hands, the better.

Convenience: I considered pick-up, delivery, easy booking, and practical opening hours. Laundry shouldn’t require rearranging my entire week.

Accessibility: I chose providers with accessible locations or broad coverage across NSW. That matters when tomorrow’s outfit is still in today’s hamper.

Quality: I looked for careful handling, greener methods, and proper treatment of delicate fabrics. My favourite jumper shouldn’t return doll-sized!

Reputation: I reviewed recent ratings and customer feedback across trusted platforms. Consistent praise helped separate the laundry legends from the spin-cycle disappointments.

I’ve always dreamed of hiring a great maid agency to handle every household chore. Sadly, my budget prefers that I remain closely acquainted with the laundry basket.

Washing, drying, and wrestling fitted sheets can swallow an entire weekend. That’s why I went looking for the best laundry service in New South Wales.

So I compared convenient pick-up options, eco-conscious cleaning, and reliable turnaround times. Here are the services that can rescue my clothes—and part of my weekend!

How much does laundry service cost in New South Wales?

Laundry prices depend on the load size and service type. A standard wash, dry, and fold load costs around $20 to $50, with $30 per basket being a useful average.

Pick-up and delivery generally add $10 to $25. Some providers include this fee once you meet a $40 to $70 minimum spend.

Bulky items such as blankets and doonas cost about $20 to $30+ each. Dry cleaning starts at roughly $15 for shirts and $30 for suits or coats.

1. Flow Laundry & Drycleaners

Website

Address: Shop 2/15-17 Fountain Street, Alexandria

Contact: (02) 9716 0124

Hours: Daily, 7 AM – 10 PM (last wash, 9 PM)

Flow Laundry’s Alexandria branch is a handy escape hatch when my hamper starts resembling a small mountain. Its commercial-grade washers and dryers can tackle a week’s laundry in under an hour.

The laundromat opens daily from 7 AM to 10 PM, including public holidays. That leaves plenty of time for an evening wash when I’ve spent the day successfully avoiding it.

Its detergent is made from renewable plant resources and carries GECA certification, though customers may bring their preferred products.

Cards and $1 or $2 coins are accepted, while 24-hour CCTV adds some reassurance during later visits.

The catch is that Alexandria primarily offers self-service laundry. Anyone wanting wash-and-fold or dry-cleaning assistance will need to visit Flow’s Summer Hill branch instead.

Pros

  • Commercial-grade washers and dryers
  • Washes and dries loads in under an hour
  • Open daily, including public holidays
  • Accepts cards and $1 or $2 coins
  • Uses plant-based, GECA-certified detergent
  • Equipped with 24-hour CCTV

Cons

  • Alexandria primarily offers self-service laundry/full wash-and-fold and dry-cleaning services require a visit to the Summer Hill branch

Weekly laundry won’t feel too much a chore anymore

This laundromat has been a complete lifesaver these last 2 weeks of rain. The space is clean, spacious, and the machines cleaned and dried my massive laundry loads in about an hour. Will definitely be visiting Flow more often. Weekly laundry won’t feel too much a chore anymore!

We will definitely be back

We visited the new laundry at Fountain Street, Alexandria on Saturday, and what a wonderful experience it was.

We normally don’t use laundry facilities but took advantage of the service opening, offering a 50% promo.

Everything was clean, tidy and easy to use with the assistance of the owner.

We highly recommend this excellent local service and encourage all the residents to pop on in and try it out for yourself. You will be happy you did.

We will definitely be back.

Contact: +61 451 353 505

Hours: Monday-Friday, 9 AM – 6 PM

Lala’s Laundry Services is for anyone whose washing pile seems to multiply when nobody’s looking.

The team collects, washes, dries, folds, and delivers laundry across Sydney, usually within 24 to 48 hours.

Bookings can be made online or by phone, with one-off and recurring pick-ups available. They use eco-friendly products, offer a sensitive range, and can arrange after-hours collection upon request.

Their services cover everyday clothing, linen, ironing, sports gear, and short-term rental laundry. NDIS participants can request tailored support, while families may choose fixed-price baskets or customised packages.

However, the service is typically closed on weekends and public holidays. The shop’s fixed linen packages may also offer less value when you only need one or two items cleaned.

  • Online and phone booking available
  • One-off and recurring collections
  • Eco-friendly and sensitive-skin products
  • After-hours pick-up available upon request
  • Tailored laundry support for NDIS participants

Cons

  • Closed on weekends and public holidays
  • Fixed linen packages may offer less value for very small orders

Strongly recommend

Excellent service provided by Noble, the owner.  Picked up and delivered the load on the same day despite being busy during the Easter holidays.  Clothes were neatly folded and organised in separate piles.  Very polite and respectful person.  I will definitely use Lala’s Laundry Service again.  I am very happy with their services.  I strongly recommend to people to use their services.

Very impressed

I had a fantastic experience with Khala from Lala’s Laundry Services.  She was not only kind and professional but also incredibly efficient.  We needed dry cleaning done urgently, and despite a fair distance, Lala’s Laundry promptly collected our items on the same day we called.   The turnaround time was remarkable, with our clothes delivered back to us in pristine condition the very next day. I highly recommend Lala’s Laundry for their exceptional service and efficiency.  Very impressed!

Website

Address: Unit 7, 12 Pioneer Avenue, Thornleigh

Contact: 1300 288 537

Hours: Monday-Friday, 7 AM–3 PM (daytime collection and delivery window)

My Butler Service comes close to granting my fantasy of having someone quietly whisk away the washing. It collects, cleans, presses, and returns household laundry across more than 400 Sydney suburbs.

There’s no minimum order, and most areas receive at least two visits per week. Customers get collection reminders and status updates, while emailed tax invoices keep the paperwork from joining the laundry pile.

Personalised bags, garment tags, and barcodes track items throughout the process. Its in-house dry-cleaning plant is PERC-free, and finished garments are hand-inspected before delivery.

Do note that the service accepts credit cards only, with a 1.75% processing fee added.

Daytime routes also use a broad 7 AM–3 PM window and can’t provide exact arrival times, so you’ll need a safe spot for unattended collection.

Pros

  • Pick-up and delivery across more than 400 Sydney suburbs
  • No minimum order requirement
  • Most areas serviced at least twice weekly
  • SMS and email order updates
  • Barcode tracking for individual garments
  • PERC-free dry-cleaning plant
  • In-house cleaning and hand inspection

Cons

  • Accepts credit cards only
  • Charges a 1.75% card-processing fee
  • No exact arrival times for daytime routes/service days vary by suburb

I’ll definitely use them again

First time using My Butler Service and I was really impressed. Piers and Cathy made everything fast, easy and stress‑free. The laundry came back perfectly, the door‑to‑door service is so convenient, and the pricing is very reasonable. I’ll definitely use them again. Thank you!

A lifesaver

I had my father’s two jackets out for dry cleaning, which hadn’t been cleaned since they were purchased, I think, given the state and odour they were in. Fantastic work! Clean, fast and efficient service. I also had 3 bags of general laundry, which my elderly mother cannot do so much of anymore, so I used the wash and fold service offered by My Buttler –  my washing came back beautifully folded and wrapped in plastic. With the continuous rain that Sydney has had for the last 3 weeks, My Butler Service is a lifesaver – thank you!!

4. LAUNDRY PICKUP SYDNEY

Website

Address: Villiers Pl, Cromer

Contact: 0491 703 559

Hours: Monday-Friday, 8 AM – 4 PM (pick-up and delivery from 8 AM–2 PM)

Laundry Pickup Sydney is tempting for anyone who’d happily outsource the hamper before it develops its own postcode. It collects, washes, dries, folds, and returns laundry across Sydney’s Northern Beaches and North Shore.

Weekly or fortnightly subscriptions come in fixed tiers from 10 to 40 kilograms. These plans save around 25% to 36% against one-off orders and include a complimentary laundry bag.

Customers receive a regular collection slot, while preferences such as wash temperature, softener, and separating colours are included.

The company handles household loads and commercial laundry for businesses such as cafés, gyms, clinics, and accommodation providers.

Subscriptions require at least four weeks, though, and collections run on weekdays only. One-off washes also cost $8.99 per kilogram but carry a 10-kilogram minimum, so even a smaller load will effectively start at $89.90.

Pros

  • Weekly and fortnightly subscription options
  • Fixed plans from 10 to 40 kilograms
  • Subscription savings of around 25% to 36%
  • Complimentary laundry bag for subscribers
  • Regular collection and delivery slot
  • Free wash customisation options
  • Residential and commercial laundry services

Cons

  • Four-week minimum subscription commitment
  • Weekday pick-up and delivery only
  • Delivery surcharges of $14.99 to $34.99 outside the free zone
  • One-off orders require a 10-kilogram minimum

Great customer service

Friendly and fast with high levels of communication and great customer service. Great that you don’t need to be there for the pickup, and the laundry arrives back fresh, clean and folded. Would highly recommend using Laundry Pickup.

Highly recommend

We’ve been using Laundry Pickup for a while now, and they are simply fantastic! Every Friday, they pick up our dirty towels, and by Wednesday, they’re back perfectly clean, fresh, and neatly folded—ready for use. The service is always reliable, and it’s such a relief knowing we don’t have to worry about laundry piling up. Friendly, professional, and consistent—highly recommend to anyone or business looking for a hassle-free laundry solution!

5. HQ Laundry Hornsby

hq-laundry-hornsby-logo

Website

Address: 69 Hunter Street, Hornsby

Contact: 02 9476 4812

Hours: Self-service: Open 24/7 | Attended drop-offs: Mon, Wed, Fri & Sat, 9 AM–3 PM; Tue & Thu, 9 AM–5 PM

HQ Laundry Hornsby is ready whenever my washing pile stages a late-night takeover. Its self-service laundromat runs 24/7, including public holidays, with modern Maytag, Speed Queen, and IPSO machines.

Washers handle loads of up to 18 kilograms, while the largest dryers take 22 kilograms. A typical wash lasts about 35 minutes, leaving just enough time for coffee without losing the whole afternoon.

When I’d rather not supervise the spin cycle, the attended team offers bag washing, drying, folding, and dry cleaning.

The shop has dedicated customer parking, which makes hauling doonas and bulky bedding considerably less dramatic.

However, the self-service machines are cashless, so loose coins won’t get you through laundry day.

Attended services aren’t available on Sundays, either, and pick-up hours begin an hour later than drop-off hours.

Pros

  • Self-service laundromat open 24/7
  • Modern commercial-grade machines
  • Washers accommodate loads up to 18 kilograms
  • Dryers accommodate loads up to 22 kilograms
  • Bag wash, dry, and fold service
  • Dry cleaning available
  • Dedicated on-site customer parking

Cons

  • Self-service machines accept card payments only
  • No attended service on Sundays
  • Attended pick-ups begin later than drop-offs

Good service

I have used many laundries in Sydney and Brisbane.

The service I got from HQ Laundry is well above.  Minnie has been efficient. The folded clothes from Minnie are so good that no ironing is needed.

I have been going to Minnie for a while and highly recommend anyone who has a busy life and needs good, fresh, folded laundry returned

Highly recommend

Finally getting my king-size wool electric blanket out for the winter. It was cleaned BY HAND 3 months ago. It smells fresh, so obviously it was dried well, and Minnie did such an amazing job that it looks like the day I bought it, 15 years ago! Highly recommend HQ Laundry; this is my third time having them clean this electric blanket. Thank you!
