5 Best Gutter Cleaning Pros in New South Wales for a Smooth Flow

Licensing and Insurance: I chose insured teams with suitable height-safety training. Roof work’s risky enough without crossed fingers.

Service Range: I looked for gutter clearing, downpipe flushing, and basic roof checks. Spotting small issues early can prevent wallet-draining repairs.

Local Expertise: I favoured cleaners familiar with stubborn eucalyptus debris and NSW bushfire risks. Local leaves certainly don’t play nice.

Responsiveness and Reliability: I checked how quickly each team quoted, replied, and scheduled visits. Clear updates and punctual arrivals made the cut.

My recent roof cleaning left everything sparkling…and also shed light on the state of my gutters, which were packed with washed-down muck. Nothing spoils that fresh-roof feeling quite like a leafy traffic jam overhead!

Clogged gutters can send rainwater spilling towards the eaves and foundations. During dry NSW summers, trapped debris may even become a fire hazard.

So, I went looking for the best gutter cleaning in New South Wales. Here are some reliable teams that can get the water flowing properly again.

How much does gutter cleaning cost in New South Wales?

Most gutter cleaning jobs in NSW cost $200 to $550 AUD. Prices depend on roof height, layout, pitch, and buildup.

A single-storey home usually costs $200 to $350. This covers standard cleaning and downpipe flushing.

A double-storey home generally costs $350 to $550. The rate includes access using height-safety equipment.

Townhouses and terraces typically cost $250 to $450. Pricing varies with the roof pitch and perimeter.

The minimum call-out fee is around $150 to $200. This covers technician travel and on-site setup.

1. Pure Gutters

Website

Address: PO Box 771, North Sydney (postal address)

Contact: 0435 062 587

Hours: Monday-Friday, 7 AM – 7 PM | Saturday-Sunday, 9 AM – 5 PM

Pure Gutters caught my eye because they don’t treat gutter cleaning like a quick scoop-and-scoot job. Their service covers the roof, valleys and gutters, with downpipes checked and surrounding areas tidied afterwards.

I particularly like that customers receive before-and-after photos, so there’s no need to climb a ladder for a stickybeak.

The team can flag visible roof concerns, handle minor fixes when arranged and suggest when another clean may be due.

The main drawback is that this thorough approach may be more than someone wanting a basic, budget clean needs.

Its service area also centres on Greater Sydney, meaning homeowners elsewhere in New South Wales may need to call another crew.

Pros

  • Cleans roofs, valleys, gutters, and downpipes
  •
  • Tidies surrounding areas after the job
  • Can flag visible roof concerns
  • May complete minor fixes when arranged

Cons

  • Detailed service may not suit those wanting a basic budget clean
  • Service area mainly covers Greater Sydney

Excellent job

Matt from Pure Gutters has done an excellent job in cleaning our gutters. He was very personable and thorough and cleaned up well after he had finished. I would certainly recommend him to anyone requiring gutter cleaning.

Esitiven and Diego from Pure Gutters cleaned my gutters and skylights on Monday and did a great job – they arrived right on time, were very friendly, professional and worked very quickly to get the job done. The job was done well, and all mess from the gutters was cleaned up. I have used Pure Gutters for the past 5 years and would recommend the business to anyone needing a gutter cleaning service.

2. Sydney GutterClean

Hours: Monday-Friday, 7 AM – 5 PM

Managing one home’s gutters is enough of a headache, never mind an entire rental portfolio. Sydney GutterClean takes some weight off with services for houses, commercial properties, strata schemes and property managers across Greater Sydney.

Their technicians remove debris from roofs, gutters and downpipes, then check that the drainage system is clear and functional.

I’m particularly keen on the before-and-after photos, annual reminders and ground-level cleanup—because nobody wants the roof garden relocated to the driveway.

The team follows height-safety procedures and can flag visible roof defects discovered during cleaning.

Customers can arrange scheduled visits too, which saves them from remembering another seasonal maintenance chore.

The catch is that the first-time domestic discount requires approval during the on-site quote and payment that day. This gives price-conscious customers less time to compare other offers before committing.

Pros

  • Handles domestic, commercial, strata, and rental properties
  •
  • Checks that drainage remains clear and functional
  •
  •
  • Flags visible roof defects
  • Cleans up fallen debris at ground level

Cons

  •
  • Same-day payment is required to receive the discount

Highly recommend

We are very happy with the way Caleb did the work. Arrived on time, immediately started the work, did thorough cleaning. After the work, the site was cleaned, and all the rubbish was removed. We highly recommend Caleb and Sydney gutter cleaning service.

Thank you

Great job

I’m very happy with the work Sydney Gutter Clean has done for me. I was sent an sms informing me when the serviceman would arrive, and other communication with this company was efficient and pleasant. Caleb did a great job cleaning my roof and gutters and ensuring all the debris was cleaned away. I definitely would recommend Sydney Gutter Clean.

3. Gutter Snipe

Website

Address: Unit 20, 36 Leighton Place, Hornsby

Contact: (02) 9477 5943

Hours: Monday-Thursday, 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM | Friday, 8:30 AM – 4 PM

Gutter Snipe has been clearing Sydney rooflines since 1983, so they’ve seen more leafy blockages than most of us have had hot dinners.

I like that their service combines gutter cleaning with downpipe flushing and a basic roof appraisal.

Their height-safety-certified operators work on homes, multi-storey apartments and commercial buildings across selected Sydney districts. They collect debris, provide before-and-after photos and leave the surrounding area tidy.

The crew can flag apparent problems such as rusted valleys, damaged gutters and broken tiles. Minor repairs, tile replacement and trimming small overhanging branches may be arranged when needed, too.

The main catch appears after an on-site quote is declined. If you change your mind and ask them to return, they’ll add a return fee to the original price.

Pros

  • Operating in Sydney since 1983
  •
  • Services homes, apartments, and commercial buildings
  • Clears gutters and flushes downpipes
  • Provides before-and-after photos
  • Offers basic roof appraisals and minor repairs
  • Cleans up collected debris

Cons

  • Covers selected Sydney districts rather than all of NSW
  • Charges a return fee if an onsite quote is initially declined but later accepted

4. Forest Gutters & Window Cleaning

Website

Address: 80 Grover Ave, Cromer

Contact: 0410 469 484

Hours: Monday, 7:30 AM – 10 PM | Tuesday-Friday, 7:30 AM – 9 PM | Saturday, 7:30 AM – 7 PM | Sunday, 8 AM – 9 PM

Forest Gutters & Window Cleaning is handy for homes where dirty glass and leaf-packed gutters are competing for attention.

I like that customers can arrange both jobs with one trained, fully insured team rather than juggling separate tradies.

Led by Nathan Gledhill, the crew handles gutter cleaning, window washing, pressure cleaning and solar-panel cleaning. They’re qualified to work at heights and provide before-and-after photos, so you won’t need to scale a ladder for proof.

Their same-day communication and quotes within 24 hours should please anyone who hates chasing callbacks. Plus, six-monthly or yearly maintenance reminders can keep the next clean from slipping off the household calendar.

The main limitation is that coverage centres on Sydney’s Northern Beaches, North Shore and nearby suburbs. Homeowners elsewhere in NSW may need to find a crew closer to home.

Pros

  • Offers gutter and window cleaning through one team
  •
  • Provides before-and-after photos
  •
  • Sends comprehensive quotes within 24 hours
  •
  • Provides pressure cleaning and solar-panel cleaning

Cons

  • Coverage centres on the Northern Beaches and North Shore (customers elsewhere in NSW may be outside the service area)

A pleasant experience

Nathan is wonderful, thorough and friendly. The job was clearly bigger than his anticipation. He gave us a great explanation after the initial inspection and indicated potential variation from his original quote, which is completely reasonable. He patiently took out the gutter guard, thoroughly removed the mud underneath, and cleaned up the site afterwards. It was a pleasant experience working with Nathan, and we’ll surely recommend him to our families and friends who need to get their gutter-cleaning job done.

5. Golden Leaf Gutter Cleaning

Website

Address: 4 Gold St, Blakehurst

Contact: +61 402 714 996

Hours: Monday-Friday, 8 AM – 4 PM

Golden Leaf Gutter Cleaning suits homeowners who’d rather deal with one familiar person than play tradie roulette. Owner-operator Joseph Linke handles residential and commercial gutter cleaning with several years of hands-on experience.

His project history ranges from inner-city heritage homes to large NSW universities, so unusual rooflines aren’t entirely foreign territory.

I like that he clears gutters and downpipes while tailoring the service to each property. Gutter-guard installation is even available for homes that seem to collect every gum leaf in the neighbourhood.

The starting prices make early budgeting easier, while free consultations cover jobs that don’t fit the usual single- or double-storey mould.

The drawback is that Golden Leaf operates on weekdays only and relies on one owner-operator. Appointment choice may therefore be tighter during busy periods than with a larger crew.

Pros

  • Direct service from owner-operator Joseph Linke
  • Handles residential and commercial properties
  •
  • Clears gutters and downpipes
  •
  • Offers published starting prices
  • Provides free consultations for unusual properties

Cons

  • Closed on Saturdays and Sundays
  • Solo operation may offer fewer appointment slots during busy periods

Wholeheartedly recommend

Joseph thoroughly cleaned the gutters and downpipe drains of five townhouses, which were severely clogged with leaves and other debris. His attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality service were clearly evident.

I wholeheartedly recommend Golden Leaf Gutter Cleaning and will certainly seek their services again in the future.

Sincerely,

John Schumacher
