Well-choreographed moves, easy to pick up, and humorous teacher
“THE BEST EXPERIENCE with Jamie Winbank!! He brings in the fun, energy, and sweat for us; he even makes the warm up and drill so with digestible challenges. It was fast paced, so it’s never boring. LOVE! He lights up the class with his sassy, music choice) and well-choreographed moves that just flows so smoothly, makes sense and easy to pick up in tune with musicality. Did I mention he is so humorous, too? It was a Jazz Beginner class, and it definitely makes me want to come to Sydney Dance Company more for Jamie’s class.”

Friendly, supportive group, talented instructor, and moves at a good pace
“After 30 years away from tap dancing, I nervously signed up for the beginners’ class, feeling a mix of excitement and apprehension. From the moment I stepped in, I was welcomed by a friendly and supportive group. Tracy, our instructor, is not only talented but also incredibly patient and encouraging. The class moves at a good pace, but there’s always the opportunity to record and review steps at home, which is a huge help for practice. If you’re thinking of joining a dance class, I highly recommend it—it’s a fantastic way to have fun while staying active!”

A couple of concerns raised by clients involved front desk service and payment issues. Some parents mentioned that the reception staff lacked empathy and critical thinking, while others were surprised by being charged for two term fees without prior notice.

“Brent Street is an excellent facility with industry leading teachers, trainers and performers. Their training approach creates a fast paced, intense and uplifting environment that pushes each student to be the best they can be. We were provided not only with excellent dance classes but, with classes covering business skills, mental health and injury prevention as an athlete to help prepare us for a long, sustainable career. Completing full time here in 2022 was one of the best decisions I have ever made and I highly recommend this school for anyone who is looking to have a career in performing arts.”
